Workability: Kevazingo, a figured form of Bubinga veneer, may dull cutting edges due to silica content and is prone to tear-out during machining because of its interlocked grain. Gluing can be difficult due to high density and natural oils, but the veneer generally accepts stains and finishes well, often finished with a clear coat to enhance its figure.
