Workability: Cutting & Machining: Generally easy to work with. Raw veneer can be cut with a sharp utility knife or scissors. However, the interlocked grain in figured sheets may cause some tear-out during heavy machining. Finishing: Readily accepts stains and finishes. It is often finished with a clear semi-gloss or gloss varnish to enhance the depth of its figure.
